Planet Calypso AB, the developer and publisher of the sci-fi MMO Planet Calypso, have announced that they will again be hosting the Merry Mayhem event. When the contest was run previously, it was considered by many to be the most exciting and popular event to take place in the MMO.
During the Merry Mayhem hunting contest, players are ranked by the number of kill points they can accumulate over a period of 30 hours. The Merry Mayhem contest can be done either solo or in a team, with a separate period of 30 hours used to track the team event. The event gives both new players and veterans a chance to win prizes, as participants will only compete with people at their own skill level. In addition, players can choose one of four sub categories to enter into, giving them more chances to win themselves a prize. Players can also enter a special instance of the event free from the influence of other players, allowing them to enjoy the event’s unique creatures and prizes without being bothered by other participants. The event offers a prize pool that has been greatly increased since the last Merry Mayhem event, with valuable Land Deeds, Skill Pills and creature DNA up for grabs.
Merry Mayhem started on December 14, but the contest will last until January 6, giving players plenty of time to collect prizes.
