On January 9th, Kalypso publicised that the intriguing 1920’s era gangster themed video game, Omerta: City of Gangsters will also see release on the Mac platform. Omerta: City of Gangsters is currently slated for release onto the XBox 360 and Windows PC on February 13th, 2013. An early 2013 release date has been set for the Mac version.
Omerta: City of Gangsters is brought to you from the team behind Tropico 3 and Tropico 4, and will mix a conquest-styled strategic play with tactical combat.
Omerta: City of Gangster will be a simulation game with tactical turned based gameplay. The story is set behind immigrant fresh on American soil, trying to conquer his dreams of having power, money, and of course respect. Players will have to work their way through the criminal food chain of 1920’s Atlantic City, New Jersey, home of the famous Atlantic City Boardwalk.
Players will be task with starting small but eventually establishing their own crime syndicate and taking over Atlantic City.
Players will have to wisely and strategically manage their business affairs in real-time and slowly but surely increase their influence over the cityof Atlantic. Intriguing situation are soon to follow such as: sending henchmen out to assassinate informants, raiding warehouses, breaking a friend from prison, robbing banks, and attacking rival gangs hideouts, and bribing both policemen and politicians.
