Publisher Deep silver was proud to announce that Metro: Last Light had an amazing first week of sales, outselling the first title Metro 2033 and receiving great reviews from critics around the gaming industry.
- The Windows PC version of Metro: Last Light more than tripled the global sales of Metro 2033 over the same launch period.
- In the United States, Metro: Last Light sold more retail units in its first week than its predecessor’s entire life time.
- Across all three formats, Metro: Last Light managed to sell more units in one week than Metro 2033 was able to sell in three months.
- In multiple European countries including, Germany, Switzerland, France, and the U.K, Metro: Last Light was number one for four straight weeks.
According to Menno Van Der Bil, International Commerical Director at Deep Silver, “Metro: Last Light is Deep Silver’s most critical acclaimed game to date.”

Earlier this week Deep Silver had announced that 4A Games will continue to support Metro: Last Light with multiple DLC’s that feature new single player missions throughout the summer. Fans will be able to purchase a season pass with a discount for all future content. The season pass is now available on Steam, Xbox Live, and the Playstation Network for €14.99/$14.99/£11.99/1200 Microsoft Points.
The season pass will also include additional content for players; the deadly Abzats, a semi-automatic shotgun rifle with destructive secondary fire, releasing six shells at once.
The Season Pass also includes:
- ‘The Faction pack’ and the ‘Chronicles pack’, featuring a brand new single player gameplay that will expand on the universe.
- “The mysterious ‘Tower Pack’, a solo challenge for players.
- ‘Developers Pack’, a set of new tools for the players to use when exploring the metro.
Metro: Last Light is now available for the PlayStation®3, and the Xbox 360®.
