Sticktwiddlers Eurogamer Expo After Party Announced

Sticktwiddlers, a gaming news website based in the UK, have announced that they will be hosting a Eurogamer Expo After Party for the third year running.

Sticktwiddlers EuroGamer Expo 2013 PosterThe event is aiming to raise money for a charity called Special Effect, who aim to improve the lives of those with disabilities through the use of video games and computers. Last year’s event managed to raise over £2,000 for the charity. With sponsorship by NCSoft, the company behind the popular Guild Wars series, and some of its subsidiaries, ArenaNet and Carbine Studios, the event will celebrate the past of gaming, as well as looking forward to the launch of the Playstation 4 and Xbox One later this year.

The event takes place on Saturday 28th September from 7pm onwards at The Pembroke pub in Earl’s Court. Tickets cost £8, and include a huge range of activities over the evening. Attendees will get 2 free drinks on arrival to the party, the chance to compete in a variety of gaming tournament for prizes, a charity raffle and music from GamerDisco, providing all your favourite video game soundtracks and 8 bit classics. Sticktwiddlers have also promised a host of surprises to be revealed on the night.

Ben Cordell, co-owner and editor of Sticktwiddlers had the following to say about the highly anticipated event:

“We’re consistently blown away by the volume of requests we get around Eurogamer Expo time to throw another Eurogamer Expo after party. We’re hoping to make this year even better than the previous two as well as raising plenty of funds for our favourite charity, SpecialEffect. It’s truly going to be a night to remember for a fantastic cause.”

Last year’s event saw tickets sell out in just 6 hours for a zombie apocalypse themed party which saw a horde of zombies descend on Earl’s Court before the start of the party. Ticket sales have been staggered this year, with one batch released at 1 p.m. on Monday, though these have already sold out. The next batch will be released on Wednesday 28th August at 6 p.m. and then a later batch will be released on Saturday 31st August at 9 a.m. Don’t miss your chance to get tickets!
