Chuck’s Challenge 3D is Now On PC & Mac

Do you remember the handheld console Atari Lynx? Well do you remember the game Chip’s Challenge, which was originally for the Atari Lynx? Well if you said “yes” to both of these questions, then give yourself an “A”  because you know your gaming history.

Now after more than 20 years,  game designer , and the creative force behind Chip’s Challenge, Chuck Sommerville has created a new game titled Chuck’s Challenge 3D, is available to play on PC & Mac. The game is already available for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, and Android devices.

For those who don’t know what Chuck’s Challenge is about, it is a puzzle game , and your objective is to move your character, Woop who is an everyday puzzle loving’ purple alien who is capable of altering time and space, from A to B, and while your at it you will collect items such as finding a red key that will open a red door. You will also shift block, flip switches, swim through water, and hot-foot it through lava. The game has over 100 levels that will have over 70 elements and creatures. And if you manage to solve all brain tingling levels, you can challenge your friends in the multiplayer mode, where you can compete in the free weekly puzzle, and you can also create levels and share them online as well.

Chuck Sommerville had this to say:

“Over the last couple of years we’ve been creating a 3D puzzle game based on my original design and over two decades of player feedback,  Chuck’s Challenge 3D mixes the new with the old. We’ve the  original Chip’s Challenge team designing levels, along with cloud gaming improvements that let anyone create & share their own content.”

Initially Chuck’s Challenge 3D seems to be about playing through the levels. But actually it’s about learning the mechanics of gameplay. So slowly the player can become the creator.
