The PlayStation exclusive Gran Turismo is one of the best and most popular franchises in all of gaming. It’s been almost three years since Gran Turismo 5 came out, and there has been a lot of talk of another Gran Turismo game coming out this year. This year in February, SCEE’s Senior Vice President, Michael Denny, spoke in an interview with Silicon Republic that Gran Turismo 6 was coming to the PlayStation 3, this year. The exact quote was this:

“You look at the games coming out on PlayStation 3 this year. Like, The Last of Us, GT6…”

If that wasn’t enough, Gran Turismo 6 has appeared on some retailer sites such as Multiplayer.com and Newegg. All signs of pointed to a Gran Turismo 6 release this year and now with Kaz Yamauchi hosting a Gran Turismo party on May 15th, it’s safe to say that GT 6 will finally be officially revealed. The question is how many PlayStation systems will GT6 support. It’ll definitely be for the PlayStation 3, but will it also come out for the PlayStation 4? Or, may’be even the PlayStation Vita? We will have to wait and see.

Personally, I think it would be best if it were on all 3 platforms, but most importantly, on the PlayStation Vita. Gran Turismo moves units in bunches, and Gran Turismo is the kind of system seller the PlayStation Vita needs. Realistically, though, I think a PlayStation 4 is a bit of a reach. All you have to do is look at how long it took Gran Turismo 5 to come out on the PlayStation 3. But, porting GT6 to PlayStation Vita doesn’t seem like it’d be too much of a stretch.

What do you guys think? Will GT6 be available on the PlayStation 4? PlayStation Vita? Or will it just be exclusive to the PlayStation 3? Leave your comments below.
