“At the dawning of the Ragnarok, all debts must be paid”

Aarklash: Legacy, the brand new Tactical-Adventure game from Parisian developers Cyanide Studios, is available on Steam today for £14.39.

In a mission to unravel a dark tale of deceit, Aarklash: Legacy allows you to take command of a party of mercenary warriors named the Wheel Swords. Your guild has requested that The Wheel Swords venture deep into enemy territories to brave a grand campaign, comprised of tactical combat, fantasy adventure, and complex puzzles. Utilizing Cyanide’s centrepiece feature the “Active Pause” to oversee every element of combat, you must battle the minions of your enemy The Lion Of Alahan, using both might and magic to right the wrongs committed against the lands of Aarklash.

Features include:

  • The ability to control a party of 4 from a choice of 8 vastly unique characters, ranging from Goblins to Magicians.

  • Individual skill trees allowing for intricate development of your team.

  • Utilization of the ‘Active pause’ for articulating complex battle plans.

  • Masterful control of the interaction between the abilities and powers of your group.

  • Endless randomized loot and weapons.

  • Battle unrelenting hordes across the lands of Alahan, Acheron, and the Behemoth.

  • The daunting Ragnarok difficulty for repeated playthroughs.

Cyanide Studios has previously proven their worth in the tactical RPG field by tackling the daunting task of creating the Game of Thrones RPG, as well as honing their craft with Orcs and Men, an Action RPG made in collaboration with Spiders. Whilst currently lacking a multi-player feature, Aarklash: Legacy’s solo-campaign looks to have the depth and structure that fans of Diablo and Baldur’s Gate have come to expect from the Fantasy Role-Playing Genre.

Unfortunately Mac users will be prohibited from battling the merciless beasts of Alahan but Windows users can grab the game with a 10% discount today via Steam. Additionally, the games soundtrack will be made available to the first 100 customers on Steam or Cyanide’s own E-Shop.

Aspiring writer, I enjoy taking random drives to places I have never been, watching the football, spending time with family and of course, the odd bit of gaming.
