Doom is back with a remastered version of Doom 3, heading to PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
This was announced yesterday by Bethesda Softworks® saying the game will be available
sometime in autumn.
What players can expect from Doom 3 BFG Edition is greatly enhanced graphics, Playable in 3D , 5.1 surround sound, Xbox 360 Achievements, PlayStation 3 trophies, improved rendering and lighting and a new check point save system.
Apart from bringing the game back and marketing more at today’s generation of First person shooters, you will also get a solid amount of Bonus content.

Now for anyone that might not already know, back in 1992 Wolfenstein 3D was released by id software (Developers of Doom). This game is credited as the very first FPS, which to put it simple, started it all off.
Then a year later in 1993 the same company came back with another Hit “Doom” which was much more advanced than Wolfenstein 3D. A big selling point of the game was the ability to stage multiplayer games that could take place over a phone line or local area network.
The game was a huge success and further established id software and pioneered the first-person shooter genre. Through the years ID software went on to develop titles such as QUAKE®, The Elder Scrolls®, Fallout®,Wolfenstein® and more.
Gamers today like to compare everything and can lose sight of the important elements that makes a true game. So we feel its important to remind you where it all started based on facts.
We are looking forward for the return of Doom bringing back the intensity and horror, but this time powered by todays greatly enhanced graphics and sound for an all new single and multiplayer experience for PC and consoles.
