Former Wip3out development team is working on a brand new motion game titled BeatBoxer.
Indie Hero Ltd a studio formed by ex Sony Dev’s today announced its first new title, BeatBoxer™: A brand new rhythm based fitness focussed party game, for mobile and gesture based gaming devices using new webcam gesture technology from Extreme Reality and supporting resistance based fitness hardware from Shadow Boxer International Pty Ltd.
The company behind BeatBoxer is made up of developers that worked on games such as the racing game Wip3out, Midnight Club, GTA and Worms and Alien Breed. They decided to build off of the music that made Wip3out such a great game and bring it into the world of BeatBoxer.
The game will feature artists 3d Avatars and many more well known artist in the gaming industry.
At this moment, not much is known about the game, whether the player will beatbox their way to victory or use the motion controls in some way to earn points. One video teased the main screen and selection screen. So, we do not have much to go off.
We do know that BeatBoxer is coming out for PC and consoles that can sense motion sometime within the beginning of August.
