As for me, I think I’ll just buy the darned game and jump off of my couch a few times. That will have all the thrill of bungee jumping, minus the risks of horrible splattering, though I’m sure I could still manage to sprain something. The funniest thing about this announcement is that this is the idea that was actually approved by 2K Games.
I’m sure their PR department came up with much more haunting stunts that would leave people broken and traumatized, with nothing to show for their pain but a copy of Borderlands 2 clutched in their hands. These people do not mess around.

A bungee jump is the perfect way to truly test your nerves and we’re excited to bring the insane pleasure of the game into the real world!” You know what would be really extreme? Giving away copies of the game for free without making people risk their lives. It will be a fun show for anyone who wants to see how injured and perhaps litigious Borderlands 2 fans can get. The bungee jumping nonsense will take place between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM at the Old Truman Brewery, London, on September 23rd. Games will be given out on a first jump, first served basis, so check your medical coverage and head over to get your copy of the game.
