Bohemia Interactive have released a new update for Carrier Command: Gaea Mission. Patch 1.03 aims to address a number of issues including those related to the path finding of group units. Carrier Command: Gaea Mission received a warm welcome from players, however many gamers struggled with ordering their Walrus ground units.
Patch 1.03 delivers a significant improvement to the Walrus AI and island navigation data. Patch 1.03 also includes a number of other game and campaign related fixes. The complete list of changes can be found in the changelog provided in the update’s Readme files.
Carrier Command: Gaea Mission is a strategy based game based on the 1988 classic Carrier Command. The game features a mix of first and third person vehicular combat. The game includes tactical and strategic elements. The game is a sandbox adventure which consists of 33 unique islands. These islands host six distinct climatic zones. In the game the player is put in command of a futuristic military carrier. Players must travel through the seas and establish a strategic network in order to conquer the seas.
Carrier Command: Gaea Mission also includes a story based campaign. In the story gamer’s play as Lieutenant Myriuk, a battle hardened soldier of the United Earth Coalition. Lieutenant Myriuk has been sent to Taurus to repel occupying forces of the Asian Pacific Alliance. The game also features a mode similar to the original Carrier Command called Strategy Game. In this mode, gamers can set starting parameters such as enemy strength and available resources to determine the difficulty and length of a match.
To apply the new update, players can download the installer and change log from the updates section on the official website. The Steam version of Carrier Command: Gaea Mission will be updated automatically.
