Rob Williams and Andi Ewington to write Dark Souls II: Into the Light
If you cannot wait for Dark Souls II to release this March, then prepare to get excited for the upcoming graphic novel Dark Souls II: Into the Light slated for release in January 2014. It will be written by critically acclaimed British writers Rob Williams and Andi Ewington with art by Simon Coleby.
The authors described the Dark Souls universe as filled with “Gothic environments, unworldly monsters, eldritch atmosphere, adventure and terror.” They are excited to be working with such a rich world.

Rob Williams is perhaps best known for his work on The Amazing Spider-Man comic book series, but he has also worked with other renowned IPs such as X-Men and Star Wars. Most recently, he has received significant recognition for his work Judge Dredd: Trifecta, which earned a nomination to the 2013 British Comic Awards.
Simon Coleby collaborated with Williams in Judge Dredd: Trifecta and will join him again to illustrate Dark Souls II: Into the Light. He is a well-known comic book artist, who has previously worked for Marvel, DC, and 2000 AD.
The other writer Andi Ewington took the world by storm with his critically acclaimed novel 45, which recently reached the #1 bestseller spot for Amazon UK Kindle store’s Superhero category.
Keep an eye out for a more specific release date, but right now we should see the graphic novel in January. Dark Souls II the game will release for Xbox 360 and PS3 in North American on March 11, 2014, and in Europe and Australasia on March 14, 2014. More info at the Dark Souls II website.
