Sometimes great games have a way of getting even better when you aren’t looking. The development team behind browser game Dragon’s Call II have added a whole new way of playing, turning the game you thought you knew on its head. Dragon’s Call II’s Astrology System allows you to use some in-game gold to receive a newly designed Horoscope Essence.
Once you have levelled up your character you will unlock the Astrology System, added in alongside your Pet and Backpack at the bottom of the game interface system. This will allow you to gain the horoscope essence delivered in no time from one of the five Astrologer pals who have decided to bless you for just being brilliant and most importantly being you. The Astrologers (Witch, Necromancer, Priest, Bishop and Oracle) will give you varying degrees of essence, your chances change depending on how much gold you are willing to throw at them. The most money hungry of these is the Bishop who you can do an under-the-counter transaction with to get higher level essence in exchange for Dragon Gold.
The spectrum of colours, ranging from bad to good, are Grey, Green, Blue, Purple and Yellow and you can equip them to much benefit. Initially you only have enough room for four separate slots, but this can also be upgraded in exchange for Dragon Gold giving you a seemingly massive Backpack to carry all your essence around in, which will become extraordinarily useful. “Why oh why”, I hear you ask “would I want to equip Horoscope Essence?”. Well, equipping the essence will allow you to upgrade your character and your in-game pals’ fighting capacity. You can also use lower level essence, if you have ended up with it, to upgrade your higher level essence by absorbing one into another. This becomes most prevalent with level 80 characters and above as it can be set to do this automatically, increasing your characters’ fighting capacity when you aren’t even trying.
Dragon’s Call II (apps.facebook.com/dragonscall_gorzt ) is a side-scrolling turn-based 2D MMORPG brought by Gorzt (http://www.gorzt.com). Free to play forever. Players are able to enjoy a rich variety of splendid combat modes and skills.
*Writers Thoughts*
I played this game for ten minutes, then another ten minutes, and then another all in a row until I nearly missed a lunch meeting and forgot that I wasn’t in fact a relatively attractive cartoon character. It’s insanely addictive and when you unlock these systems it’s an innocent but intense joy, akin to your mother surprising you with an ice-cream moments after you’ve found a five pound note in your pocket.
