Capture, Train, Ride and Fight with Dragons in Dragon’s Prophet for PC.

Infernum Productions and Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) have launched a new free to play MMO, Dragon’s Prophet, which gives players the chance to interact and battle alongside hundreds of unique and individual dragons that roam the world of Auratia. The world of Auratia is at risk after Kronos, the Great Devouring Dragon, escapes from his prison, and only the combined efforts of players and their dragons can save Auratia from a horrendous fate.

Dragon’s Prophet primarily involves combat on land and in the skies, on the backs of mighty dragons as they soar through the air across six massively different zones that range from arctic tundra to green fields and meadows. Players are never going to be spoilt for choice, with over 300 dragons available and the option to have up to 96 dragons per player, each with their own set of skills.

Who wouldn’t want to have a pet dragon?

There are already over 1500 quests for players to get stuck in to, as well as huge sprawling cities that serve as hubs for players between quests, allowing them to mix with other players and find groups to quest alongside. There are plenty of opportunities to battle alongside other players, with 25 dungeons of varying difficulty to tackle, each with their own daunting boss battle to face at the end.

The game also gives players a host of customisation options, including a variety of classes to choose from, such as Ranger and Sorcerer, as well as customisable houses that players can build and furnish however they choose. Players can also choose to engage in another MMO staple: crafting. This gives players the option to improve their items and dragons.

The team behind the game seem pleased with their efforts, with Senior Producer, Todd Carson saying: “Dragon’s Prophet combines an insane variety of powerful and majestic dragons with an action-based combat and end-game siege system to create one of the most unique gaming experiences for fantasy MMO enthusiasts.

Despite the already impressive list of features and options, the team behind Dragon’s Prophet aren’t resting on their laurels, and have already got huge plans for the future of the game. The team are hoping to introduce 30-player dungeon raids, a variety of new regions and dungeons and more dragon-based combat, including an arena for battles between dragons. On top of all of this, the team hope to delve further into the storyline with Kronos threatening the world, so it looks like the game is only going to go from strength to strength.

Indeed, there have been a whole series of improvements just from the Open Beta stage to now, with a revamped AI and boss battle system, new loot, stat and attribute systems and greater inclusion of dungeons and bosses into the overall game experience. Players can now also fast-travel across the vast world of Auratia by talking to certain NPC’s, to reduce the amount of long treks required by the player.

Dragon’s Prophet is available right now from Infernum Productions and its digital partners in Europe, and from SOE in North America.
