Leading worldwide developer and video game publisher Capcom is proud to say that Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara will now be available as a digital download from the North American Playstation Network Store and will be available everywhere on Steam, with the game also coming to the Xbox Live Arcade and European Playstation Network Store starting today. The game is said to be available soon for the Nintendo eShop for the Wii U.
Capcom made sure to work closely with Wizards of the Coast to bring these two games back and better than ever for all of the Dungeons & Dragons fans that are now playing today’s consoles. Developed by Iron Galaxy, Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara is a combination of two arcade games – Dungeons & Dragons: Tower of Doom also with its sequel Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow over Mystara – both games will be updated with HD graphics and plenty of other features. With both games previously only available in western arcades it can now be enjoyed by a much larger gaming audience.
The two titles are a combination of fast-paced 2D side scrolling action RPG to bring a amazing gameplay experience for up to four players at a time as the battle together online or locally against the monsters of Dungeons & Dragons. The players can use melee, range, with magic attacks to help take these monsters down. Dungeons and Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara is powered by GGPO to help offer a seamless ability to drop in or out of online gameplay for four players, in both of the titles two modes. Along with the classic arcade mode and its branching paths and numerous endings, the game will now include a brand new House Rules game stlye which will allow players stackable game options to customize gameplay to their liking for a whole new experience. An example is “Vampirism”, which awards a player health for every attack done to a enemy, another one is “Lockpick” which causes all chest to be open.
More added features to the game is a dynamic challenge system that will set you in game goals that will in return offer you level-ups and points which you may spend at the Vault: a stash of unlockables and in game loot. It will also have the Character Visualizer which will let you track what character you or your friends use most often, in addition helping make a more balanced multiplayer dungeon group, or pointing out which characters are the most underused. A special addition to Wii U players will let them be able to select spells and items more easily, making it a more simple gaming experience.
