Microsoft and Epic Games released a new video entitled The Guts of Gears – Multiplayer for their game Gears of War: Judgment. The video gives fans a look at some of the new multiplayer modes, weapons, in-game rewards and gameplay updates. This gives promise to the most intense “Gears” game ever when it launches in the UK on March 22nd and March 19th in the US.
Lt. Damon Baird walks ‘gearheads’ through four multiplayer modes known as OverRun, Team Deathmatch, Free For All, and Domination. OverRun introduces class-based combat with a 5v5 attack/defend game type. Team Deathmatch, Free For All, and Domination all are the classic gametypes that fps vets will recognize and enjoy in Gears of War: Judgment.
Gears of War: Judgment also introduces six great additions to the arsenal; three grenade types and three primaries. The Sticky Grenade speaks for itself. The Beacon grenade plays as a marker for a delayed blast radius to rain down death on your enemies. The Stim grenade allows players to play support for their friends with a medicinal gas that heals allies in the radius.
The three primaries are the Markza, Brecchshot, and Booshka. The Markza will be an instant hit with it’s semi-auto fire rate with a large clip and scope. If you’re wanting to have a little more brute force you can use the Breechshot to fire a high-caliber projectile – a perfect close quarters weapon. Last but certainly not least who would want to forget to bring a grenade launcher along for their gun-toting journeys? The Booshka will let you lob smart shells at your enemies to explode on impact or bounce off of terrain for a delayed blast.
The Guts of Gears promises to be a nice addition to the Gears of War already fun and exciting action packed multiplayer. And as if the new weapons weren’t enough, Epic has added rewards throughout your multiplayer career. The better you play, the bigger the payoff. You can get Prizeboxes at the end of well played rounds for XP bonuses and exclusive weapon skins to show off your skills and strike fear into the hearts of your friends and enemies.
