F1 2012 Demo Available

Try out a few of F1 2012's features and Season Challenge in the demo.

I imagine there are a few gamers that would like to experience what it's like to be an F1 racer.  To feel the vibrations of a powerful engine shaking their body as they race down a track; hearing the roar of audiences demanding for your success; seeing the sun reflect off your opponent's tail-wing that was advertising Red Bull energy drinks.  Unfortunately the demo for F1 2012 won't be able to give most of these experiences, but you will get a few samplings of the features included in F1 2012 when it approaches its release date.

Two game features included in F1 2012 demo is the Young Driver Test and Season Challenge.  In the Young Driver Test new (and old) players will get to learn how to control their vehicle in a tutorial held in Abu Dhabi.  This tutorial will start out simple with giving you instructions on getting over a 150 miles per hour.  Then it will get into technical details on how to move around corners without blowing your tire.

In Season Challenge, players can compete over ten races to become number one driver on the grid.  Each player can pick a rival driver and attempt to beat them on the track in a five-lap race at Monza.  This iconic track should be memorable to F1 racing fans as it is 3.6 miles long and could have cars reach a top speed of 218 miles per hour.

So far F1 2012 is looking to deliver a great experience for F1 racing fans.  The detail on the vehicles makes each one stand out.  Seeing a vehicle go under a billboard or cloud actually reflects the image off the vehicle's shell, temporarily obscuring the product-placement ads riddled all over the motorsport.

Now I feel like getting some Red Bull energy drink, and I'm not sure why.

F1 2012 will be available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC (via Steam) later this month.  For more information, visit the F1 2012 Web site.
