Every year, fans eagerly await to find out what is in store for the next Formula 1 game. This year brings Formula 1 2013, and with it comes the announcement of the F1 2013 : CLASSIC EDITION, featuring 1980s and 1990s Content as well as two Classic Tracks! The two additional packs will be available for users of the standard game to purchase as an optional DLC at a later date. Formula 1 games do not often have special editions, and this year seems like a great time to buy one with additional DLC included as well as a Classic Edition case to house the game disk! The 1980s DLC comprises of:
- 10 iconic drivers
- 5 legendary cars
- Brands Hatch
- Circuito De Jerez
The 1990s DLC includes:
- 7 iconic drivers
- 6 legendary cars
The two Classic Circuits that come bundled with the game are Imola and Estoril.
Formula 1 2012 sold 750,000 units worldwide last year alone and with the Hungarian Grand Prix this weekend, Codemasters have released an in-game hot-lap around the track, to increase the hype for the game and to want Formula 1 fans wanting the game more to increase sales from last year’s Formula 1 game.
From the hot-lap you can see the improved the graphics and handling system, that Codemasters have been very hard at work on, and you can also feel the track as you are being directed by the legendary broadcaster – Murray Walker.
For the first time ever in a Codemasters Formula 1 game, you will be able to partake in a new game mode called ‘F1 Classics’. F1 Classics allows you to race on iconic circuits against legendary drivers; in addition to this, F1 Classics introduces an all-new fictional racing series allowing you to race as different drivers, in different cars and on different circuits all from the 1980s Formula 1 era. You will also be able to play online and in split-screen mode with all of the classic content!
As there are new cars and new drivers added every year, Formula 1 2013 will see these added into the game from the 2013 Formula 1 season, meaning you can play as your favourite Formula 1 drivers from this season. As well as new cars and drivers being added to the game, Codemasters are excited to reveal their new Formula 1 game because of the fantastic improvements they have made, since last year’s game. Moreover, as well as there being a vast number of improvements and enhancements to the game, you can still expect to see all of the rule changes, tyre changes, pit crew, visual effects and more to continue to deliver the authentic Formula 1 experience!
F1 2013 will launch on October 4th, worldwide, for the Xbox 360® video games and entertainment system from Microsoft®, PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and Windows® PC.
