FLUXE Hit's The App Store

The independent developer known as Black Jacket Studios has announced their first iOS title known as, “FLUXE – Pop Droppin’ Blocks”, which sounds like it should have it’s own rap song to accompany it’s release. FLUXE has been released with an introductory price of $0.99USD for it’s first two weeks on sale, which sounds like a juicy bargain to me. But what’s this you ask. Just what is this game about? Well my friends i shall help you.

FLUXE is an arcade/puzzle game that is said to ‘put big twists on the falling block genre’. Looks like Tetris has some fresh new competition after all these years.

FLUXE reverses traditional falling-block gameplay by putting the player in control of which pieces will drop, so the days where your screen is full of blocks that just won’t seem to disappear are gone. Tap the piece that you want on the right side of the screen, and it falls in the well on the left of your screen, it is really that simple and being a touchscreen game it cannot get much easier to play now can it?

You are challenged to see how many levels you can complete and how many points you can rack up along the way to brag to your friends about. Store up bomb and refresh tiles to help get through the tougher short levels and then take your new skills to dominate your friends on the leaderboards .

Fluxe is easy to pick up, but hard to master, like a Yoyo. Think carefully when choosing your blocks as is could mess up the entire level with one false move. You are also given four difficulty modes keep it interesting, challenging and appealing to everyone.

Here are some of the nice features within the game:

– Major twists on the falling-block genre
– Featuring music by the incredible Professor Kliq!
– Earn more than 30 achievements to boost your score multiplier!
– Win bomb and refresh tiles to strategically get past hard areas!
– Four challenging difficulty modes
– Perfect interface for a touchscreen
– Endless levels – how far can you go?
– Runs smooth even on older devices!
– Four Game Center leaderboards depending on your skill

If you like falling-block games, you should definitely check this out as it’s a very different take on a fun genre.
