Four new Pokémon revealed for Pokémon X and Y

As Pokémon X and Y get closer to its release date it’s once again time for the Pokémon Company to hype up the latest group with a new trailer that’s shows off four new Pokémon as well as parts of the new region called Kalos which happens to be shaped like a star.

The four new Pokémon revealed are Fletchling, Helioptile, Pancham and Gogoat. Let’s start with Fletchling which I guess is this seasons Pidey. Sadly despite the fact that Fletchling is shown in the trailer using the move Flame Charge its just another Normal/Flying type but on the bright side if it’s anything like Pidey then its going to have two more evolutions to hopefully make it more interesting.

Next up is the cowardly electric/normal type Helioptile. In the trailer Helioptile is using one of the games newest electric type moves called Parabolic Charge which is where it attacks everything around it and gains HP equal to half of the damage dealt. Hang on if the move hits everything around it does that include you.

A fighting panda. I swear I've heard that conscipt before

Pancham as the name may have lead you to guess is the panda Pokémon shown in the trailer and yes it’s a fighting type. A odd thing to mention about him is that despite Pancham’s glare it apparently smiles when you pat its head. Like Helioptile Pancham can learn a brand new move although this one is called Parting Blow. Parting Blow lets you switch out Pancham for another Pokémon after lowering your opponents Attack and Special Attack stats.

Finally we come to Gogoat who has somehow managed to beat Fletchling in being the most uncreative named Pokémon revealed so far. Gogoat is a grass type that surprise surprise resembles a goat and it knows a new move called Horn Leech which is the grass version of Parabolic Charge.

There is however one interesting thing about Gogoat besides the laziness of its name of course and that’s the fact that you’ll be using it to as “a reliable way to travel certain parts of Lumiose City” as shown at the very start of the trailer. The trailer shows the male trainer sitting on Gogoat so will it be this games bike and more importantly will we be able to ride different Pokémon.

I'm not the only one who thinks that Helioptile looks like Mawile right?

Lumiose City by the way happens to be the main city of the Kalos region and is also the city that a certain tower that has become pretty well known in X and Y resides. One last thing I like to point out is that finally after six generations we can sit down on the games benches. It’s pretty pointless but it’s still pretty cool nonetheless.
