The Gadget Show wins another world record with Pac-Man to celebrate their 250th episode!
Gadget Show presenters, Jason Bradbury and Rachel Riley broke the Guinness World Record for the ‘largest architectural projection of a game.’
To celebrate the 250th Gadget Show episode anniversary, Namco Bandai worked along side the Gadget Show to support the developer RITH to create a level of the original Pac-Man game. This was projected from the Millennium Mills in London’s East End across the River Themes. The game was being controlled by the Gadget Show presenters using the biggest Namco Pac-Man controller!
Ewan Keil, Executive Producer at North One Television comments:
“For our 250th anniversary show we had to do something befitting this phenomenal milestone. With nine Guinness World Records already pinned to our studio wall we were all dead set on notching up a tenth. So to see our bespoke PAC-MAN game projection mapped onto the huge iconic Millennium Mills complex was an epic moment that ranks as one of the most remarkable events in our amazing nine year history.”
In addition to this a new Pac-Man game will be getting a debut in January 2014, followed by several toys and clothing throughout 2014. The game will be released on the Xbox-360, PS3, Wii U and 3DS on March 7th in the UK.
