Puzzle game, Might & Magic Clash of Heroes, will be free for Xbox Live Gold members to download in the first two weeks of October.
Microsoft has announced the latest game on offer as part of the rewarding Games with Gold scheme. Introduced earlier this year, the Games with Gold scheme provides Xbox Live Gold subscribers with a free downloadable game every two months, and has included titles such as Dead Rising 2 and Crackdown over the past few months. For the first two weeks of October highly rated puzzle game Might & Magic Clash of Heroes, usually priced as £9.99 on the Xbox Live Marketplace, will be on offer to subscribers.
Originally released as a Nintendo DS title back in 2010, Clash of Heroes was very well received, with an Xbox 360, PS3 and PC HD port released a year later. The originally was one of the highest ranking DS titles of the year upon its release, holding a score of 86 on review aggregator site, Metacritic.
The game takes place in the highly detailed Might & Magic universe, and puts players in the role of commander of an army, with recruitment, military placement and strategy all dictated by the player. Offering some of the most comprehensive strategy gameplay that the Nintendo 3DS had seen, the game offers players a wide variety of factions and troop types to control, as well as an engaging storyline to battle through. The game also includes a multiplayer mode, allowing players to compete both against and alongside their friends in battles of wit and strategy.
The current title available as part of the Games with Gold scheme is another widely regarded and critically acclaimed game: Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas, which will be available until the end of September.
Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes will be available for free to all Xbox Live Gold subscribers from 1st October until the 15th October 2013.
