Here is the new Firefall gameplay trailer:
James Maculey, Vice President of Development for Red 5 Studios, had this to say,
“Firefall has come a long way since Gamescom 2012, and we are excited for our fans and new players to see the improvements and brand new content in the game. There are plenty more upcoming additions and features to talk about at Gamescom, so come and visit us on the show floor!”
Just to give you a little backstory on Red 5 Studios Firefall: It’s an MMO, as you might expect. Firefall is a game that is an MMORPG, and an MMOFPS. You play with hundreds of other players in a massive world. The story meanwhile takes place 200 years in the future and an asteroid was headed toward Earth. Luckily, it missed, lucky break, right? Eh, not exactly. The asteroid ended up, basically, hitting the Moon’s gravity and shattering. All these shards ended up hammering the Earth. And from there humanity would experience the ‘Nine Year Winter’.
So, pretty cool concept. I’m looking forward to hearing more, maybe even getting to give Firefall a try. What about you? Are you interested in Firefall? Are you going to participate in the open beta? Let us know in the comment section below.
