Metro: Last Light has also come to Mac as well
This week saw Steam get a new entry in its Linux games library because developers Deep Silver as well as 4A Games release a dedicated version of Metro: Last Light for Steam. They also confirmed support for Steam OS as well as the Steam Controller.
The game already supports Steam Play as anyone who owns any copy of the game will find it in their Windows PC, Linux and Mac Steam libraries.
Metro: Last Light takes place in post-apocalyptic Moscow in the year 2034 and the last remnants of mankind are struggling to survive in the Metro tunnels. Humanity acting as we do however the stations are at war over a doomsday device locked in a military vault.
You play as Artyom are humanities last hope and if you fall than humanity will fall. Metro: Last Light plays as a blend of the survival horror and FPS shooter genres. You can shoot your way through every encounter if you want but the option is also available for stealth.
Killing everything may not be the best option for longevity however because while military grade bullets provides the best amount of damage, there also used as currency so you’ll have to take that into account every time you want to take something down quickly.
Commenting on Oles Shishkovstov the chief Technical Officer of 4A Games said that “We are excited by the prospect of bringing the ultimate Metro experience, powered by next-gen PC hardware into the living room,” as well as “Metro: Last Light will be a great showcase for Steam OS and the Steam Controller.”
