On October 22nd a world leading distributor of digital music, X5 Music Group, today publicized that it’s much anticipated album, The Greatest Video Game Music 2, will be set for worldwide download November 6th.
The Greatest Video Game Music 2 will be performed by famous London Philharmonic Orchestra, featuring 17 completely new classical orchestrations of some of video game’s most loved musical themes. The album will include songs from blockbuster hits like Halo, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy VII, and Assassin Creed.
The original, The Greatest Video Game Music, was released in 2011 to huge success, and become the highest selling video game album of all time, which sold close to 100,000 copies.
The fans will have some input on the album as well. Both IGN and Kotaku were asked to choose two desired tracks, in which they responded by holding polls on their websites. The results lead to the inclusion of new arrangements’ from both Mass Effect 3 and The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim.
