With Injustice: Gods Among Us getting released worldwide on the 19th of April on Xbox 360, PS3 and the Wii U, Warner Bros. Interactive and DC Entertainment have decided to release the Green Lantern trailer who was revealed a while back at the same time as Joker actually.
The trailer itself shows that during the events of the game the Green Lantern will have to fight against his most dangerous foe, a clone of himself who wears an ugly golden version of his in-game costume which doesn’t look that great as it is.
The trailer does show off some of the over-the-top action that players will be expecting from Injustice with the clone summoning what looks like an anti-aircraft machinegun with his ring and the Green Lantern answering back by making a passenger plane to throw at him (please make that a move in the game itself).
- So he has the power to create whatever he wants and he just creates his symbol. Genius!
The idea of Green Lantern having to fight with a clone of himself is actually a really good idea since it can make for some interesting fights because both of them have an all-powerful ring that can create whatever they can imagine so it could make for a interesting plot points especially if the clone joins to other sides which I think is what they may do.
The Green Lantern trailer also shows off what will come with the Limited Edition version of Injustice: Gods Among Us. The Limited Edition version comes with a collectible figure of Batman and Wonder-Women fighting each other (23cm), a comic book of the game, a steel book, collector’s box and three DLC skins for Superman, Batman and Wonder-Women that are based on the New 52 comic book event.
With Injustice: Gods Among Us just around the corner it’s shaping up to be a cool beat-em-up title and is definitely one of the games this year that I’m excited for and with the news of that Green Lantern will have to fight his clone sounds pretty interesting but we’ll just have to wait and see.
