Beach Bum Pack and Content Creator to follow GTA Online Update 1.05
The eagerly anticipated GTA Online update 1.05 released Tuesday, addressing a few technical problems in anticipation of new content later this year. It is currently available for download for PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game.
The most significant fixes with this update relate to the loss of saved data in the cloud storage. Update 1.05 includes measures to prevent data loss when the cloud goes out. According to Rockstar, your cash balance will also be protected against network connectivity issues. The rare issue of the loss of vehicles or mods has also been addressed with this update.
This update was essential to pave the way for new content being released in the next few months. Firstly, the GTA$ Stimulus Package will release now that cash balances are protected, giving players additional money to spend in the game. Expect this cash to come in the next couple of days, but do not be surprised if some people get it before others; this will likely happen but worry not, your cash will come.
Also, the first downloadable content will come out in the next few weeks of November. The Beach Bum Pack will be free and add beach-themed vehicles and weapons to both single-player and multiplayer modes of GTA 5. There is also a Content Creator forthcoming which will allow users to design their own levels, particularly Deathmatch and Race Jobs. Rockstar plans to feature the best user-designed levels with their Rockstar Verified tag.
Beginning this month, Rockstar will host periodic Grand Theft Auto Online Social Club Event weekends. These weekends will bring unique rewards and bonuses to those who participate and will include a live Twitch show.
