More Guests have been announced for BAF Game 2013!

Tomb Raider and Dishonoured developers to attend BAF game 2013 as guests.

People planning to attend this year’s BAF (Bradford animation festival) Game 2013 will be exited to hear that Crystal Dynamic’s Brian Hornton and ZeniMax Media’s Viktor Antonov will be joining Warren Spector as headline guests this November.

Brian-Horton-Sr-Art-Director-Tomb-Raider-01Brian Hornton was the senior art director for Tomb Raider and is confirmed to have been a critical component in the re-creation of the character of Lara Croft, the game’s heroine. At BAF, he will be giving a talk titled “creating a belivable hero”. In the talk he will give basic tips on how to customise every aspect of a character using gameplay, personality, anatomy and other such devices to create a believable character. His artwork is not just limited to video games as his art has also appeared in titles such as Buffy the vampire slayer, Batman and even Star Wars!

 

Viktor_AntonovViktor Antonov art directed and designed several very high profile art projects such, probably one of the most high profile games of all time, Half Life 2 by Valve. He designed several things in the game such as but not limited to the layout and appearance of city 17 and the character designs of the combine soldiers. He also art directed the french sci-fi film Renaissance. He now works for ZeniMax Media, he collaborated with Bethesda software to create the beautifully dark city of Dunwall in their recently released stealth-em-up, Dishonoured.

 

BAF Game 2013 tickets are still available at time of writing here and will be taking place at the national media museum on the 12th November and the University of Bradford on the 13th.
