Guild Wars 2 Beta Weekend Event

Guild Wars 2, developed by NCsoft and ArenaNet have announced a second public beta weekend.

 

From 20:00pm BST Friday 8th June, until 07:59 BST Monday 11th June, fans who have pre-purchased the game will be allowed to explore once again.

 

 

Chris Whiteside, ArenaNet’s lead producer stated that “existing characters have not been deleted, and you will be able to continue right where you left off!”.

 

To activate the weekend pass, you must of course pre-purchase the game if you haven’t already.

The public beta is available to anyone that has pre-purchased the Guild Wars 2 collection, the digital deluxe, or even the retail/digital versions.

Early adopters will also get ahead of the game with a 3 day headstart compared to everyone else, and an exclusive Hero’s Band in-game item.

Retail/Digital (€54.99/£49.99 SRP) :

 

  • Guild Wars 2 serial code (to activate the game at launch)

  • Three day ‘headstart’ access to Guild Wars 2 at launch
  • Exclusive ‘Hero’s Band’ in-game item

 

Digital Deluxe (€74.99/£64.99 SRP):

 

The Digital Deluxe contains the above, but has extra items, including a Mistfire wolf, and a miniature Rytlock, both who will help defend you.

 

The Collectors Edition (€149.99/£129.99 SRP):

 

This contains all of the above, plus these extras-

 

  • A 25 centimetre hand-painted Rytlock Brimstone statue wielding a flaming sword
  • 112 page Making of Guild Wars 2 hardback book
  • Best of Guild Wars 2 Soundtrack CD
  • A custom art frame complete with portfolio and five Guild Wars 2 art prints
