The Live-Action Digital Series ‘Forward Unto Dawn’, Based Off The Best-Selling Xbox Franchise Had Its First Trailer Released
Initially the series will be distributed worldwide by Machinima, debuting on its new channel ‘Machinima Prime’ as well as on Halo Waypoint on the 5th OCtober, 2012. Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn will take you through a series of five episodes and will set the stage for the global launch of the highly anticipated Halo 4 on the 6th November.

The Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn Story
The series will tell an exciting story of heroism and sacrifice on an huge scale not yet seen in the Halo universe. It is set to take fans back to the beginning of the human and Covenant war, and further lead into the events of Halo 4. It will be set against the backdrop of a United Nations Space Command military academy, where a group of highborn cadets are training to be the next generation of soldiers. Amongst these cadets Thomas Lasky struggles with doubts about the war, and has burdens of expectations he may not be able to carry. As Lasky comes to terms with his potential as a military leader, the Covenant arrives and turns his world upside down.
The Details
The series will be surrounded by some top class names in the media industry. Stewart Hendler, director of Sorority Row will be directing Halo 4: Forward Unto the Dawn whilst it is written by Todd and Aaron Helbing, writers of Smallville and Spartacus. The series also features a diverse cast of established Hollywood talent, including Daniel Cudmore (X-Men: The Last Stand) as the Master Chief, Mike Dopud (Mission Impossible – Ghost Protocol) as General Black and Iain Belcher (Supernatural) as Vickers.
Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn is backed by a top-tier production team with examples such as Legacy Effects (who worked on The Avengers and Avatar) creating specialised costumes and armour. To put Halo 4’s series in a nutshell it will be run by some very big names in the industry.
The Halo 4 limited edition will provide an extended 90-minute Special Edition featuring additional footage and bonus content. This will be available on November 6th.
