InterAction studios announced today that Chicken Invaders 4: Christmas Edition is available for iOS devices.
Chicken Invaders 4: Christmas Edition will come in two editions. The Standard Definition will be available for iPod and iPhone devices while iPad devices will get a High Definition of the game. At 60 frames per second, these games have been optimized and include integration with iOS’s Game Center.
Chicken Invaders 4: Christmas Edition has chickens dressed up seasonal outfits while attacking in detailed choreographed formations. The brood of chickens disguises themselves as elves, Santa’s and a few other holiday icons. Important enemies are trimmed with bright Christmas lights.
Bells, ribbons and holly soar across the screen and battlefield. Gifts can be collected to add on to the player’s munitions. Even in outer space a blustering blizzard ravages while players defend themselves from chickens while original covers of popular Christmas carols accompany everything.
The game was created in 1997 and made a public appearance in 1999. 50 awards and over 150 billion downloads have made this game extremely popular. It is available in 154 countries, been translated to 13 separate languages and is on many platforms including Windows, Mac, Linux and mobile phones.
