vanquest Software announced today that it will be publishing Heavy Fire: Shattered Spear for Xbox 360 and PS3, with the release date set for August 2nd 2013
It’s always a glorious time when new games are released, hence why it is good news that Heavy Fire: Shattered Spear is being released in the UK. Developed by Teyon, Shattered Spear is the latest installment in the Heavy Fire military action game series and will introduce a variety of new gameplay elements including a multi-directional multi-cover system, sniping, night vision, new distinct weapons, and new vehicle levels. All those new things you’re going to need to book a few days off just to enjoy it all.7- The game also uses an updated graphics engine to provide players with an engaging and realistic visual experience.
The storyline is based around a dangerous combat mission where the player’s objective is as clear as glass; prevent nuclear Armageddon. Sounds easy right? Players have to rescue a friendly spy and retrieve the secret plans to an Iranian nuclear weapons facility, before fighting their way into the enemy base. All sounds like an action movie to me.
As an on-rails shooter, movement of the character is set to a pre-determined path, leaving players free to concentrate on aiming and firing their weapons. This makes it perfect for casual gamers looking to try out a first person shooter experience that isn’t as hardcore as Call of Duty or possibly Halo. It’s set to be an easy game to just pick up and play
Other features include a co-op mode that supports up to four players and over 60 unlockable achievements/trophies for achievement hunters out there to go after with your friends and achieve virtual glory and potential bragging rights to your friends.
