This is a call to all gamers. Videogames have become a massive part of our everyday lives. Some days you won’t play them very much, some days you will be stuck with your face on the screen, it’s something many of us have grown up with. Which is why we are launching a Kickstarter for a very unique documentary which asks the question: ‘What needs to be changed within the gaming industry?’ We are calling this project ‘PGI14′ and it will involve the whole gaming community. This is your chance to get your voice heard by the rest of the community as PGI14 will highlight the problems within the gaming industry that people want to be improved. Best of all is that the problems that will be featured will come directly from the community.
The funding raised by Kickstarter will be going towards the equipment, production costs and to help get us to the various cities where we will film with you. Once we reach our funding goal you can still pledge, anything extra will go towards adding more cities to the dates so more people can be involved, we want to hear from as many people as possible, seriously don’t be shy, speak up. If you have this passionate opinion about what needs to be changed we want you to let us know.
The project will be started after the 30 day funding period is over, and the first stages of the whole project will be a survey with open questions which will be available on our website for everyone around the world to take part in at einfogames.com. It is extremely important that we get a fair result therefore the survey will be open for 30 days in order for us to gather all the best and most popular questions and put them to good use. The most popular questions will then be compiled into a list of top 10 questions which will be shortlisted to the best 5 questions. Those questions will then be the lucky chosen ones, that will be used in the documentary. There is space for an extra 2 topics to be added from the top 10 results which our higher pledgers can vote on. The top 10 list will be mentioned in the film but only 7 will get a full 10 minute time slot each. Don’t go thinking that you’ll be left out though as by taking part in the international survey, which asks ‘What do you want improved by 2014?’, your answer will be taken into account and it can make a huge difference in the content that is in the documentary.
The second goal of PGI14 is to give work experience and to help people who want to work in the media industry. Everyone involved in production will be credited on the final product (you will get your name on IMDB), more information on this is shown on our kick starter rewards section for pledgers.
This is our way of saying thank you to you, we want to make sure that everyone is involved and this documentary is made by a large community of passionate gamers and gaming enthusiasts. Everyone will be heard.
So come on guys let’s all band together on this one, it’s our chance to get our voices out there, to be heard by many many people. The links to the PGI14 Kickstarter page and the promotional video page are below so just take a few minutes to check them out.
