Holiday Cheer In The Sims FreePlay

The Sims FreePlay ChristmasIn celebration of the one year anniversary of The Sims FreePlay, EA have launched a massive holiday themed update for the mobile title. To tease some of the upcoming features for the game, EA have released a trailer on Youtube.

The newest update will have a host of new features, with Sims now able to engage in a wide range of activities, including fishing in the park and designing new fashion styles. These activities will also reward the player, with Simoleans (The game’s currency) and new clothes up for grabs. In addition, the Sims will be able to take past in a variety of  Christmas Quests, with players able to help fix up up Santa’s Sleigh or decorate their homes with festive decorations. Sims will receive prizes for participating in these events, culminating in a big present that is unlocked on Christmas Day.

The Sims FreePlay Gameplay

The Sims FreePlay has been described as the “deepest Sims experience on mobile to date”, with a large following cropping up since its release last year. Players can control up to 20 Sims, raising them from babies to adults and teaching them to interact with their fellow Sims.  A large amount of choice is available, with gamers influencing the jobs that Sims take up as well as dictating the manner in which Sims react to the twists and turns of life.  Updates to the mobile title have also added a large array of customisable items, allowing players to design their own personalised houses.

The latest update to The Sims FreePlay will launch on December 13, with the holiday themed event lasting until Chirstmas Day. For those who want to get into the game, it’s available for free in the Apple Store and the Amazon Store and can also be found on Google Play. EA will also be teasing info about upcoming updates on their Youtube Channel.
