Indie game ZRun announced by developer and publishing studio Beatshapers and will be coming exclusively for PlayStation Vita. ZRun is an endless runner with the entire city fallen into ruins players will must run non-stop to stay alive during this zombie apocalypse. ZRun will be available as a digital download via the PlayStation Store release date will be announced at a later time. ZRun‘s soundtrack features music by Vladimir “MoozE” Frey, an award winning composer (known for music for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, Men Of War: Vietnam, Firestarter)

- Run and avoid obstacles – hitting obstacles stops and hurts you
- Evade or attack zombies – if they attack you, you’ll get hurt and die
- Watch your stamina – every action costs some
- Pick up and use stuff as weapon – the bat, tube, guitar, swords, etc.
- Use firearms to get rid of zombie real quick – watch out for ammo, its limited
- Multiple characters, each with own distinct melee attack
- Explore the city and find the way out. New areas unlocked on successful run completion
- Upgrade and customize your character
- Campaign and endless survival mode
- Compete and collaborate with your PlayStation®Network friends with street records scoreboards and using “near” for useful items exchange.
It is awesome to see indie developers support the PlayStation Vita especially with exclusive content like ZRun. In my opinion this could open the eyes of other indie developers to get behind the PlayStation Vita and release more content on this platform.. I can’t wait to hear more about ZRun during the Sony press conference at E3. ZRun looks like a lot of fun and great if you need to let time pass either on the bus or train going to work or school.
