The very successful Xbox Live Arcade game Joe Danger, will be seeing a sequel in the near future on September 14, 2012. The second game is called Joe Danger 2: The Movie, and is once again created by the talented developers at the indie UK studio, Hello Games.
The original game was one of the best-selling titles on Xbox Live Arcade last year, and was well recieved by critics and fans alike. Hello Games has said that Joe Danger 2: The Movie will be a huge leap content-wise from the first game, with over 100 scenes to ride in, over 20 vehicles to collect, and at least 40 hours of exciting gameplay.
Hello Games’ managing director Sean Murray said “The launch of Joe Danger 2: The Movie on September 14 will provide fans a new chapter with our iconic hero. We're incredibly proud of this game as it represents the vision and goals we set out to achieve two years ago. We're a small team, and this is huge game, supporting features like global level sharing and online ghosts of everybody who has ever played the game.”
Murray went on to say, “When we started Joe Danger 2, we said it would be the last in the series, so it had to be perfect. Finishing makes me feel a heady mix of elation and sadness. We're celebrating because we're excited to finally let people play this game we love. I hope we've given Joe the sendoff he deserves; we want it to be a game that people remember five years from now."
Joe Danger 2: The Movie will be available on September 14, 2012 for 1200 Microsoft points. In anticipation of the new release date, Hello Games has also been kind enough to bring down the price of the original Joe Danger: Special Edition to 600 points.
