The Killer is Dead Limited edition and Fan edition have been announced by Deep Silver. Both editions will be available in Europe and Oceania.
Deep Silver was excited to announce both editions for the players to choose from for the upcoming Hack and Slash game from Suda51. Killer is Dead will be released on August 30th for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The Fan edition will be available for purchase at the price of £54.99 and include the following.
- The “Smooth Operator Pack” containing four downloadable items:
- An additional mission: Episode 51 – The Man Who Stole Blood.
- Gigolo Glasses: Mondo Zappa will receive special glasses that grants X-Ray vision, allowing him to reap extra enjoyment from the beauties in Gigolo Mode.
- A mysterious beauty named Betty for Gigolo Mod.
- A yet unannounced item perfect for summer.
- A poster showcasing the unique visuals of the game.
- The full soundtrack by Akira Yamaoka on CD.
- A fully coloured Art book.
- The “Fan Edition” will come in exclusive packaging
Deep Silver will also include the Limited Edition at launch which contains “Smooth Operator” pack, a DLC for no extra cost. This version of the game will cost £49.99.
Killer is Dead, is set in the near future to a world similar to ours. The player will take control of Executioner Mondo Zappa, who wields a powerful Katana with his right hand and interchangeable weapons with his artificial left arm. His goal is to wipe out the criminals around the world. The game will come with strange visuals and unique action for a new type of experience. The new game is being jointly developed with Kadokawa Games and Grasshopper Manufacture, with Suda51 acting as director.
