Recently on Februrary 15, 2013, Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. announced that the newest installment of their Dance Dance Revolution series will be coming to the GREE Platform on iOS devices. The new game is titled DanceDanceRevolution Dance Wars.
Tomoyuki Tsoboi, President of Konami said,
We want to give gamers the ultimate dance experience on-the-go, and there is no better fit than DanceDanceRevolution Dance Wars. As the next iteration of the popular DanceDanceRevolution franchise, DanceDanceRevolution Dance Wars, features dance battles, solo competitions, and more, all in one interactive dance game for mobile devices.
Dance Wars is bringing in social elements to the franchise for both old and new fans of the franchise to have with their on-the-go DanceDanceRevolution game. Players will have Dance Crews and they will be able to pick up to three members to face off against challenge rivals with collectibles at stake. As more incentive to the game ‘Crew members’ will also gain Respect Points by cooperating with each other in the game. Those points then can be used on upgrades or consumable items.
There weill also be Battle Events where players can fight against bosses to unlock rarer rewards. The ultimate dance fans who wish to play solo will be able to do so through missions stages for more exclusive content.

Writer’s Opinion: Although I have not personally played this game, can they really call it Dance Dance Revolution anymore? It’s more of a Tap Tap Revolution. Unless you don’t mind stepping on your iPhone. I wouldn’t advise that by the way.
