If they used the FF13 engine this game probably won’t be released till 2014 at least
For their upcoming title Square Enix has just released the latest batch of Final Fantasy X/ X-2 HD Remastered Screenshots.
The latest screenshots show-off the extra detail the remake has added to everything from the characters, locations and even famous scenes in the games like the one at Lake Macalania.
Along with the screenshots they released a comparison trailer to help show the differences, and even now there really is a difference. Here see for yourself – Final Fantasy Website
Along with showing-off the graphical upgrades, Square Enix have also confirmed that the Remastered edition will bring over 60 tracks from the original game and these have also been remastered.
Square Enix has released a Final Fantasy X/ X-2 HD Remastered Audio Drama preview which is written by the Scenario Writer, Kazushige Nojima. The episode will be added to the credits in the game itself.
Also confirmed is that the PS3 and PS Vita versions will have trophies support as well.
The Final Fantasy X/ X-2 HD Remastered Screenshots, as well as the comparison trailer, show that the game at the moment is going along well but I have to ask why hasn’t there been a release date yet?
Oh and before I finish I want to bring up the fact that in the trailer above it refers to Tidus by name. Considering the fact that in the original game his name was never mentioned due to the fact that you can rename him does this mean that they have rewritten the plot?
