Lego Marvel Super Heroes confirmed as launch title for PS4 and Xbox One

Prepare to save the world as a lovable Lego superhero in Lego Marvel Super Heroes.  This newest iteration of the Lego video game series developed by TT Games and published by Warner Brothers Interactive sees players taking control of famous character from the Marvel universe–including Spiderman, the X-Men, and the Incredible Hulk.  The action starts on November 15th, 2013, in the UK with the the game launching on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U, and PC.  Furthermore, Lego Marvel Super Heroes will be a launch title for the PS4 on November 29th and Xbox One on November 22nd.

Lego Marvel Super Heroes offers players the chance to experience the Marvel Universe through the characteristic humor and gameplay design of the Lego series.  The game features well over 100 playable characters with a wide range of superpowers that players can use to solve puzzles or do battle with the dastardly super villains of the Marvel Universe.  Some of these powers include magical powers, shrinking to a small size, or mind control as either Professor Xavier or Jean Grey (both from the X-Men IP).  Even Stan Lee, the famous creator of Marvel comics, appears as a playable super-character!

The game will release with a suggested retail price of £44.99 for Xbox 360 and PS3.  The Wii U version will be a bit cheaper at £39.99, and the PC version will be a bargain at £24.99.  The Xbox One and PS4 launch version will be £54.99.

TT Games will not settle on just one Lego game in the Marvel Universe, however, and will release Lego Marvel Super Heroes:  Universe in Peril for PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS for release at the same time (November 15th in the UK).  This mobile version will feature a totally different experience optimized for on-the-go gaming.  It will consist of shorter missions such as timed challenges, and it will support tag-team multiplayer through the mobile devices’ connectivity systems.  These mobile versions will be a bit cheaper than the console versions at £39.99.
