Konami Digital Entertainment Inc unveiled a launch date of June 12th 2012 in the US for the PS Vita Metal Gear Solid HD Collection.
The pack includes Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of Liberty, and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. It also includes the first two games from the MSX2 system.
I’m afraid to say that Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker has been ommited from this release; Probably due to the PSP version being available on the Vita online Store.
The gameplay of all games will remain the same, but the same cannot be said for the graphics which have been given a major overhall in MGS2 & 3, along with a higher framerate.
The controls will also differ to take advantage of the PS Vita’s touch screen capabilities, and should make playing the game a slightly different experience.
If you already own a copy of Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for the PS3, you can transfer saves over to the portable system. They have called this feature ‘Transfarring’.
No date has yet been announced for Metal Gear Solid HD Collection in the UK. We will keep you updated.
