Microsoft is working on a device to rival the Google Glass, and rumors of a Smart Watch
According to a source from a unnamed Wall Street. journal , “Microsoft” has been testing prototypes that are similar to the “Google Glass”. The source also says that Microsoft has recruited component workers to build the prototypes. But that being said, a person who is said to be familiar with Microsofts project says ” The project may never reach mass production”. So does this mean that the project is not sure to come with success over the Google Glass ?

Microsoft is determined to take the lead in hardware manufacturing to make sure the company won’t miss out on the opportunities in the wearable gadget market
Following this similar report is the rumors in April that Microsoft has been testing Smartwatch prototypes as well, that the company has been at it for more then a year. And that rumor is aligned to Microsoft recent move in the mobile space that led to the marking acquisition of Nokia’s mobile business in September.
So it could be that Microsoft can most likely be working on both of these projects and waiting until Google Glass is released, which is sometime in 2014 so they would be able to compete.
