Modern Thief to have PC digital edition
If you have been around the digital download scene, you would have noticed that the newest iteration of the popular stealth series Thief has been up for pre-order despite the game having a release date of February 2014.

But marketing has to start somewhere, and early did Square Enix and Eidos-Montreal decide that the modern version of the old school classic should be available for pre-order, with the announcement of a “Master Thief” edition for the PC.

The studio behind Deus Ex: HR have announced that February 25, 2014 will be the official release date of the “Master Thief” edition, which will include the following:

-A digital artbook

-A digital comic

-A booster pack, which will give access to an exclusive bundle of optional in-game consumables that can quickly give you a boost in character progression

-The director’s cut original soundtrack

-And the Bank Heist in-game mission, which will see you infiltrate the City’s most secure location, Stonemarket First Bank, and attempt to steal a family heirloom called the Star of Auldale.

The Bank Heist mode is described as a challenging mission that will be the ultimate test of one’s thieving skills.

The original Thief, The Dark Project, was released back in 1998 by Looking Glass Studios. The second iteration, Deadly Shadows, was released in 2004 by Ion Storm. From 1998 to 2004, Eidos Interactive oversaw the publication of the original two, while Square Enix will be producing this version.

It will be available on all major platforms, including the next generation of consoles.
