New Tanks In World Of Tanks Update

Wargaming, the folks behind World of Tanks, have created an update that is already live in Europe and will be released in the US on December 13th. The update involves tanks, specifically new tanks. There are already over 200 tanks in World of Tanks, but in the eyes of the developer and the fans of the game, you can never have too many tanks. There are five new US vehicles which feature autoloaders and oscillating turrets. That’s all well and good, but I prefer to have my tank outfitted with XM radio, heated seats, and maybe even a pool. A small pool, of course. I’m not an unreasonable person. Now it is my understanding that this might be “impractical” for war and might even reduce the defensive capabilities of my tank, but I refuse to compromise.

The new vehicles in World of Tanks have been reinforced by the British TOG II prototype heavy tank, the heavily armed AT-15À heavy TD, and the French FCM 50t heavy tank. In order to balance the game, the developers are pushing back the release date of Chinese tanks they have in the works, so player will get those vehicles in the next update. For now, you’ll have to settle for American tanks, which are full of apple pie, guns, freedom, and an especially ornery bald eagle. The update has also changed lighting and rendering on several battle arenas, including Prokhorovka, Redshire, Erlenberg and Ruinberg. I hear Ruinberg is nice in the spring, when there aren’t tanks rumbling around trying to destroy each other.
