Kalypso Media announced that the free “Serious Business” update for the Xbox 360 version of Omerta -City of Gangsters is now available for download from the Xbox Live Marketplace.
The new update will bring new content to Omerta –City of Gangsters which includes new multiplayer maps and customizable sandbox game modes. What’s more, the new update brings several new gameplay improvements as well as other new features. This includes a new rival gang in single player, a new difficulty setting, additional building options, car travel, and balancing tweaks.
For those unfamiliar with Omerta –City of Gangers, it is a simulation game with turn-based combat a la XCOM. Set in 1920’s Atlantic City, New Jersey; players take on the role of an immigrant worker who works their way up the criminal hierarchy. Gamers will start with small jobs and, as their criminal empire grows, become the de facto ruler of Atlantic City.
Players manage their own business as well as that of their minions, all in real time format. Players can send their henchmen out on missions ranging from assassinating an informant, to raiding a warehouse, springing a friend from prison, robbing a bank or attacking a rival gang’s hideout. Cover and stealth are also a essential parts of any shootout in the game. Finding the best vantage point to gun down an enemy, while taking cover from a hailstorm of bullets, can be just as satisfying as sneaking quietly behind a foe and taking him down.
