Claiming that your bank in the Thief universe in impregnable is just stupid really
Some people say that the Stonemarket First Bank is completely impregnable but is it? Well players who pre-order Eidos Montreal’s upcoming stealth-em-up THIEF will have the chance to prove them wrong when they get to play the exclusive ‘The Bank Heist’ mission.
‘The Bank Heist’ mission challenges you as Garrett, the series Master Thief to break into the before mentioned impregnable Stonemarket First Bank in order to steal the coveted Star of Auldale.
You know I think they may actually be expecting me.
Naturally however this Bank wouldn’t have such a reputation if it couldn’t back it up to expect to find security measures in this mission that you won’t see anywhere else in the game in what the developers plan to be a mission to challenge all of your thievery skills. This means that there will be multiple routes to your prize because let’s be honest this won’t feel like a THIEF game otherwise.
Just remember that like in the other entrees in the series there’s more than the Star of Auldale up for grabs as the Bank is bound to have other unique pieces of loot lying around as well as a couple of secrets to find hence the reason I’m sure that there will be multiple routes because it would be kind of hard to hide the secrets otherwise.
‘The Bank Heist’ mission pays homage to the Bank mission from Thief 2: The Metal Age and while this is a nice touch this may end up causing some older fans of the Thief’s series to feel that Eidos are trying to suck up to them.

THIEF is due to be released in February 24th 2014 for Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, Xbox One and on PC.
