Developer Codemasters has today announced new DLC that will add 4 new racing tracks to its award winning game F1 Race Stars. The new tracks will be available in the single player, split-screen and online modes of the game and are intended to expand on the gameplay of the base game.
The first available pack is the Canada Track, which will allow players to race through a snow covered wonderland. Racers must dodge groundhogs and snowmen as they make their way across a frozen river in a mad scramble for the finish line.
The second pack is the Europe Track, set in the city of Valencia. Racers will have the opportunity to drive through a marina, cut their way through the docks, dodge tomatoes thrown by rival players and careen across slippery ice. To showcase the Europe pack, Codemasters have released a teaser trailer giving a glimpse of the features available.
The third race track being released is the China Track, with players starting the race in the Chinese city of Shangai. From there, racers must make their way through an ornamental water garden and past a giant dragon statue that hides a secret short cut.
The final track up for grabs is the India Track, which will allow players to drive through abandoned ruins and palace gardens, as well as race along a railway track running through a mountain pass.
The tracks are available on the Xbox Live Marketplace for 400 Microsoft Points each or on Steam for $4.99 US, €4.49 or £3.59. The tracks can currently be purchased on the PS3 in America for the same price as on Steam. For fans in Europe, the tracks will be available January 9.
