Rumble Fighter 5th Anniversary
There are a variety of massive multiplayer games available to download, play, and (possibly) enjoy with friends these days. Sure there are the various knock-offs related to the MMORPG king that shall not be named, but you also have MMO golf games, MMO racing games, and even MMO fighting games. One MMO fighting game from OGPlanet is celebrating its 5th year anniversary when Rumble Fighters was made available to North America by adding new content for the game.
Unlike the recognized MMORPG where you run around in a dungeon gathering green items, Rumble Fighters focuses on reliving the old brawler games like Final Fight or Double Dragon. A deep character customization system is used to make your character unique, with a variety of hair-styles, clothing, and even fighting styles. The new content from Rumble Fighters’ 5th anniversary will add a “rune book” system to the game. Throughout the game’s brawler gameplay or arcade-style game modes, the player can earn a series of runes that could be used in combat, which can lead to numerous effects. One rune might increase the strength or speed of a character, and presumably other runes would result in similar effects to random items found in a rogue-like game. There will also be community events and contests added to the game, with plenty of prizes available.
The Web site for Rumble Fighters should give more information if you are interested. I get the impression that this would be a fun, casual, brawler game for players of any age to enjoy, instead of the semi-realistic fighting games from Capcom or the gory-camp Mortal Kombat games. There also seems to be other features than just beating up your friends, such as rushing towards the top in a vertically-scrolling screen, playing Soccer, or even fighting against a dragon as a boss. Hey, it’s not like every MMO out there can forget about the one MMORPG that will rule us all, right? The Rumble Fighters 5th anniversary DLC is free to download for old and new players in the game.
