Skydivers and gamers alike will be exited to hear about the upcoming game Skydive Proximity Flight announced by Gaijin entertainment for purchase on the Playstation Store and the Xbox Live marketplace. Gaijin entertainment have been working on this game for some time and they have now confirmed that the game will be avalible at some point in the autumn.
“Coming this fall, Skydive: Proximity Flight will let players experience the total freedom and hazardous adrenaline rush without having to physically experience world dangers associated with leaping off high places and seeing the earth hurling toward you. From a bird’s eye view of the world, players will soar over and threw majestic and beautiful real-world locations while executing ridiculous tricks of varying degrees of difficulty while racing against foes”
Imaginably, several actual skydivers reading this will assume that there is no way to truly capture the rush of throwing yourself off of a tall thing with nothing but a wing-suit but fear not, Gaijin entertainment have called in professional help from famous skydivers such as Jokke Sommer, Andrey Boldyrev and Halvor Angvik to make the game as realistic a skydiving simulator as possible so while there is no guarantee that they will succeed in that goal, they are certainly sparing no expense in trying to achieve it.
And just when you thought this game couldn’t sound more immerse, it turns out that the game will be incorporating motion controls for each system it will release on. On the PS3, you can use the Dualshock wireless controller to perform your skydive or if you feel particularly adventurous, you can use two PlayStation Move controllers in conjunction with your PlayStation Eye camera to really get into the action. With the Xbox 360 on the other hand, you can control the game with your entire body with Xbox’s famous Kinect controller.
Game modes for this game include Adrenaline race in which you perform death defying tricks to increase your adrenaline gauge which can be used to increase your speed or even rewind time to adjust your trajectory. You can also try the game-modes “Tricks” and “Routes” in which you must perform increasingly difficult tricks or fly increasingly difficult routes to increase your skills or finally you can play “Freestyle” mode in which you choose your jump point and perform a variety of tricks or fly complex routes after which you can post your skydive online and challenge your friends to match your flight.
Skydive Proximity Flight will be free-falling onto the PlayStation store and Xbox live Marketplace this autumn!
