Stronghold Kingdoms Bolsters Ranks With 1.5 Million Registered Users.

Stronghold KingdomsFirefly Studios, the creators of the Stronghold series and the popular Castle MMO Stronghold Kingdoms are proud to announce their 1,500,000th user, and with that, a launch date for their 13th world.

With the recent swell in Stronghold Kingdoms players, Firely are set to launch a new English-language “World 7” on Wednesday 23rd January at 11:00AM GMT.

The increase in players has been constant since the game released on Steam last year, where it started at 500,000 users.
Firefly are of course delighted with the new players, and as a relatively small independent developer, are doing everything they can to accommodate the interest. This included the recruitment of several new staff members to help polish current content and create some new content for their new player base.

Some of the changes seen over the past year include:

  • Quests System
  • The prize-giving Quest Wheel
  • Vacation Mode
  • Weather and Sound Effects

All of these are already proving popular with players, and with 1,500,000 players logging in from over 100 different countries, Firefly hopes that the new “World 7” will be the first of many new worlds introduced in 2013.

Released in January 2011, Stronghold Kingdoms is the medieval online castle game where players can join hundreds of thousands of players and indulge in a rich fantasy world of Lords, Ladies, Bumpkins and Barons as you build up your village, and consequently your kingdom to become the strongest in the land.
This does not come cheaply. In your conquest you must research new technology and construct might castles to defend your lands against brazen intruders. Build up your armies and lead your fellow noblemen to war as you fight, pillage, explore and wage war on your way to the throne.
